rustybrainwhat the heck is SANTORUM?

 A whole lotta links

Time wasters and other amusing stuff.
I surf the Net way too much. Let me share my affliction with you.

More funny writers - I've got a whole collection of links to other writers who publish their stuff on the Net. Check 'em out, dammit.

Extra Ugly -- Really weird, in-your-face t-shirts. Want to know how the word "Santorum" relates to a sexual activity? Well, neither did I. But you can get it on a shirt.

RobotCow -- funny shirts that aren't as raunchy as ExtraUgly.

Rank People -- Here's a site with absolutely no real value. But it's fun. You look at pictures of normal people, one at a time, and rank them 1 to 10. (I always rank the ugly people "10" out of pity.) I submitted my picture - click on the box at the right to see how I'm doing. -->

Salon -- This is probably my top site for news. The writing is great, and it's way deep on content. This isn't exactly an "undiscovered" site, but since I read stuff at this site every day, it would be a major failing on my part not to include it.

Aaron Barnhart's tvbarn.com -- A true Internet success story. He started writing a weekly email newsletter in the early 90s about the Leno/Letterman late night battle. Now he writes for the Kansas City Star as their TV critic. Always interesting.

Elwood Smith -- my favorite illustrator. If I could draw like he does, I would do nothing else all day. (That's a drawing of his at left.)

Urban Legends -- Is congress going to put a tax on every email you send? Does Coca-cola contain ethylene glycol, the active ingredient in anti-freeze? Yeah, right. Gimme a break.

Savage Love -- Dan Savage is a nationally-syndicated sex columnist. His column is like Ann Landers for pervs. It never fails to crack me up. I warn you, if you're easily offended, skip this one.

The Onion -- If you don't read it already, you probably don't have a sense of humor. But I like it, and this is my links page, dammit.

Tom Tracy Wedding Photography -- A great wedding photographer working in the South Florida area.

Toyota Land Cruiser Association -- I dig these old beasts. My 1981 Land Cruiser FJ-40 can go anywhere, looks cooler than any modern 4x4, and has a removable hard top. On the downside, it's got a ride that will jar loose your dental work.

Rising Sun -- The local Denver club of Toyota 4x4 aficionados, of which I am a member.

Pollstar -- If you enjoy live music, this is the place that will make sure you know when your favorite artist is coming to town. They don't discriminate - they'll even tell you about country music.

Suck -- Funny drawings and sarcastic commentary. Sometimes these guys can be a little overly precious. But they're often hilarious, and they're one of the granddaddies of humor sites on the Net. Update: the site is no longer updated with new content. It's still funny, in a late 90s sort of way.

Godawful fan fiction -- Writing so bad it's funny - funny bad! - about Star Trek, X-Files, and other shows with which the dweebs are obsessed.

Hump Chariots - Ed McMahon tells all about the best rides for doin' the nasty.

Rageboy - Christopher Locke, one of the authors of the Cluetrain Manifesto, posts various nonsensical ravings and occasional very sharp observations at this site. Worth a look if you don't mind poor design.

Satire Wire -- Really funny, topical stories as they relate to our dot com economy.

Idea Shop -- Check out the ad agency where I, Matt Farr, toil to deliver creativity on demand.

Spreading Santorum -- the web site dedicated to stories about "santorum," the disgusting substance created from... well, I won't go into it here. Warning: this site is not for prudes or people who are squeamish.
