Hand hurt bad! My new 3M Ergo mouse
Wednesday, January 31st, 2007
Every few years, I seem to get a computer-related injury. When I had wrist pain, I bought a trackball, and that solved the problem.
Recently, I’ve had hand pain, especially in the lower thumb below the knuckle. So I bought this weird looking thing, a 3M Ergonomic Mouse. The left and right buttons are on the top, controlled by your thumb. It’s surprisingly comfortable and easy to use. It keeps your hand in a natural, “hand shake” position.
I’ve only had it for a day, and already my hand aches less. I bought it from my favorite store of all time, Micro Center. It comes in two sizes, to fit your hand. At $50, it costs way less than a trip to the doctor.
Who knew 3M even made computer mice? “Great shipping tape and ergonomic input devices.” Reminds me of Yamaha: pianos, motorcycles and stereo equipment.
